My week with Marilyn
If one week of spending the time by an assistant director with Marilyn Monroe had made him written a memoir about it and then a beautiful film out of the memoir, I can only think of a series of movies made on her. 'My week with Marilyn' also delves in to the vulnerable side of her and the brief relationship with Collin Clark, apart from men getting spellbound by just her looks.
Simon Curtis direction keeps up the pace of the movie and makes the audience to get involved with the events happening in that one week and the characters.
The casting is perfect. Michelle Williams as Marilyn is just amazing. Though no one can match the aura and beauty of Monroe, she almost pulls of the unthinkable and makes us believe she is Monroe and weaves a magic spell. Her nomination for Oscar is unavoidable. Eddie Redmayne as Clark, Kenneth Branagh as Sir Laurence Olivier are wonderful. The rest of supporting cast is brilliant too.
The art direction and cinematography are apt for the movie.
